Fall is finally here and with it comes great weather, great food, and of course, great essential oils blends that scream to the heavens of all things Autumn. This year I’m exploring a few ready-made blends that capture the true essence of this time of year, and thus far, I have not been disappointed!
The Three Essential Oil Blends You Need for Fall
If you didn’t notice by now, I am a huge fan of Plant Therapy essential oils. Hey PT, come give me a sponsorship already!
But seriously, their blends are just completely spot on when it comes to encapsulating a specific season, a feeling, or even a popular food or drink.
When I saw that they came out with this year’s Fall Collection, I decided that this time I wasn’t going to pass it up, and I’m so glad I didn’t!
These blends, guys – THESE BLENDS! I don’t know how they did it, but they smell just like you expect your favorite things in fall to smell and each blend really captures the essence of this time of year. And the best part? Not only do they make your home smell good, they can also be used for a multitude of things like seasonal wellness and DIY recipes.
So, without further ado, here are the three blends you need for fall!
Pumpkin Pie Essential Oil Blend
When I smell this blend, my mouth begins to water, that’s how good it is!
I have always been a huge fan of pumpkin pie, so much so in fact, my husband will make it every year for me from scratch, so I know a good pumpkin pie when I smell one.
This blend smells exactly like a perfectly made, perfectly spiced pumpkin pie. It has the sweetness, the spice, and somehow even that delicious pumpkin scent. I can’t wait to diffuse this blend in the upcoming months for the holidays – it’s definitely my favorite of the three!
Pumpkin Pie essential oil blend contains:
• Copaiba
• Peru Balsam
• Cardamom
• Cinnamon Cassia
• Clove
• Ginger CO2
• Nutmeg
This blend of oils evokes memories of family and friends gathering for a Thanksgiving feast! I’m positive that when people walk into your home and smell this blend in the air, they will ask where the pie is.
The added bonus? Diffusing this blend in your home will actually help stave off illness and airborne germs whiling keeping your home fresh.

Use Ideas
Diffuse 5-10 drops before guests arrive to fill your home with a delicious pumpkin pie aroma.
Add 6 from per 1 oz of unscented lotion for a festive beauty treat!
Make lotion bars, room sprays, or a holiday-inspired candle.
If you can’t choose one of the Fall blends, I would definitely give Pumpkin Pie a try.
Harvest Moon Essential Oil Blend
The Harvest Moon blend makes me think of Autumn walks where the trees are losing their leaves, the air is chill and breezy, and the scent of evergreens fill your senses.
This blend feels like getting out of the car after a long drive to your relative’s house on Thanksgiving day and getting that first breath of fresh Autumn air. You walk to the front door and wait after ringing the doorbell. It’s cold outside and you put your hands in your pockets. The smell of trees swirls around you on the breeze. As the door finally opens, you are greeted not only by your host but also the faint smell of citrus and cardamom.
It is that moment as you walk through the door to be greeted by friends and family, that mix of the outside air and smells coming from inside that describe Harvest Moon.
This blend contains refreshing essential oils like:
• Bergamot
• Cedarwood (Virginian)
• Cardamom
• Fir Needle
• Juniper Berry
It’s the perfect blend for those who enjoy woodsy and resinous blends with a faint hint of spice and delicate sweet undertones.
Use it for cold and flu to ease congestion, clarify the sinuses, and ease sore muscles and body aches.
I plan the diffuse this blend during seasonal illness and use it to make an Autumnal bath and massage oil.
You could also add this blend to bath bombs or unscented bubble bath for forest-infused bath water.

Spiced Orange Essential Oil Blend
If you’ve ever purchased one of the cinnamon brooms from Trader Joes this time of year, then you already have a feel for what this blend smells like. It’s cinnamon dialed up to the max with warming and spicy overtones with very subtle nuances of cider and seasonal teas.
It honestly reminds me a lot of mulled spices and scented autumn wreathes (and cinnamon brooms!) that fill your house with festive and inviting aromas.
The oils in this blend also pack a punch against seasonal invaders which is perfect for this time of year when guests are frequenting your home.
This blend contains:
• Sweet Orange
• Clove
• Cinnamon Cassia
• Cinnamon Bark
This blend is wonderful when diffused, made into room sprays, added to homemade cleaning recipes like carpet freshening powder or soft scrub, or made into candles for an all-natural way to scent the home.
All-in-all, I have thoroughly enjoyed these blends and can’t wait to create a few seasonal goodies to give to friends and family this year.
If you’re looking for an all-natural way to scent your home this holiday season, I highly recommend the Pumpkin Pie blend! It’s my favorite of the three followed by Harvest Moon and Spiced Orange.
