I have to say; Plant Therapy has really impressed me this year with their pre-made essential oil blends for the holidays. My house has never smelled so festive! Whoever is in charge of creating their blends needs a raise because they’re so spot-on in scent that when you smell them, you KNOW what they are even though there’s no trace of apple essence in their Apple Pie or Apple Cider blends. Somehow, the sometimes-bizarre blend of oils creates the scent of real apples. It’s pretty awesome!
I’ve enjoyed their new blends so much that I decided to share my thoughts on their new holiday line-up Cozy for Christmas Holiday Blends.
I hope you enjoy!
6 Perfect Essential Oil Blends for The Holidays
The nice part about these blends is you can buy them either in packs of 3, as a set of 6, or as single oils.
The 3 packs come in two themes – Holiday Treats and Winter Playland which comes in really handy as the seasons change and you’re looking for a specific scent or feel.
I’ll start off with the Holiday Treats 3-pack since that one is more reminiscent of the Fall season and Thanksgiving.
Holiday Treats Blends
The Holiday Treats 3-pack features blends that take you back to those reminiscent moments you love best about the holidays – good cooking, hot cider, and nostalgic candy cane treats!
Diffusing these blends, especially the apple pie blend makes me think of my grandmother cooking on Thanksgiving Day and the smell of fresh-baked pie wafting in the air.
You can get the Holiday Treats 3-pack here.
Apple Pie
I don’t know how, but the Apple Pie blend really DOES smell like homemade apple pie – including the scent of sweet apples, flaky crust, and warming spices. It smells so good that the aroma brightens every room and gives it a festive flare no matter how your home is decorated.
It just oozes holiday cheer.
This blend features:
This blend is excellent for diffusing, making into room sprays, and my favorite – making apple pie lip balm (trust me, you want to make this)!
You can get the apple pie blend here.
Candy Cane
The Candy Cane blend reminds me of my grandmother hanging candy canes on her Christmas tree every year and me getting to eat them as the weeks wore on before Christmas, because let’s face it, as a child, Christmas takes forever to arrive! The candy canes always helped.
The scent is sweet and refreshing and reminds me of the distinct red and white stripes on one of my favorite holiday treats.
The Candy Cane blend includes:
This blend is lovely when diffused, mixed into unscented lotion (at .5-1% dilution), and to make candy cane infused bath bombs.

Spiced Cider
Spiced Cider is another blend that confuses me because it smells so much like real apple cider yet there is nothing “apple” in it.
It contains:
Blended together, these oils somehow create a delicious synergy that reminds me of the perfect cup of hot cider to stave off the chill of Autumn days. It’s sweet, spicy, warming, and has a delicious apple aroma.
This blend is perfect for diffusing, making candles, or dripping over festive potpourri.

Winter Playland Blends
The Winter Playland 3-pack features oils that get me really excited for the winter months. If you know me at all, you know how much I love me some pine-infused blends and how I’ll use any excuse to use them all year round.
This trio perfectly captures the essence of the Christmas season, pine forests, and holiday cheer surrounding one of my favorite holidays.

Frosted Mint
The Frosted Mint blend makes me think more of a frosted Christmas tree than a mint, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t one of my favorites out of all 6-holiday blends.
This blend reminds me of walking in silent forests where the pines are heavy with snow. The air is chilly, and you can hear the sap cracking in the trees. When the sun comes out, the scent of resin wafts between the pines.
That’s what I imagine when I smell this blend.
It contains:
- Fir needle
- Spearmint
- Cardamom
- Cedarwood – Virginian
- Tea Tree
The scent of this blend is uplifting and energizing making it perfect for diffusing through the house on Christmas morning. It’s also great in room sprays and candles.

Christmas Tree
Christmas Tree blend is another favorite of mine and really reminds me of bringing a fresh Christmas tree into the house and decorating it in beautiful ornaments, garlands, and lights. It is the root of Christmas cheer for what would Christmas be without its tree?
This blend contains:
This blend makes an excellent room and artificial tree spray.

Holly Berries
The Holly Berries blend has a bright scent that’s sweet, citrusy, and refreshing that’s really hard to place, but smells really lovely! Smelling it, you get the undertones of eucalyptus and woodsy patchouli and the addition of sweet orange and douglas fir that somehow transforms the blend to actually smell like berries and wreaths.
You’ll have to try it for yourself!
It contains:
I would like to explore making scented body lotion with the blend as well as melt and pour soap and candles.
