Blissful Body Oil Recipe

Stress has a sneaky way of working itself into our everyday lives. I think in a lot of cases; we don’t even realize how deeply rooted stress has become. You don’t know how much better you can feel because you’ve never felt anything beyond the normal daily grind. You don’t even realize you may be constantly stressed.

This seems to be the ways of things nowadays. The constant hustle and bustle, e-mails, to-do lists, texts, phone calls, the need to be in the thick of things. I guarantee that even if you enjoy these things, your body would appreciate a little bit of TLC.

Do you ever feel like your temper is a bit short? Maybe your attitude is more negative than usual? Weight gain? Mentally and physically tired?

If you’re any of these things, it’s time to take a moment and relax! That’s where this blissful body oil recipe comes into play.

Blissful Body Oil Recipe

In this increasingly tense world, lavender and lemon are your welcome companions who offer a wonderful tonic for an overworked body and mind. They restore balance, soothe the nervous system, and ease physical tension in the body. Lavender’s relaxing and sedative effects will help you sleep better and stress less! Lemon’s bright aroma will uplift your mood and increase a sense of happiness and well-being. Both very good things when you’re feeling stressed out!

Here’s what you’ll need:

• Two 4oz bottles (otherwise half this recipe for one 4oz bottle’s worth)
• 8oz of carrier oil like sweet almond, grapeseed, or fractionated coconut oil
• A few drops of vitamin e oil
• 50 drops lavender essential oil
• 30 drops lemon essential oil

Loving Preparation – Blissful Body Oil Recipe

Add the essential oils to a Pyrex measuring cup.

Next, add the carrier oil and mix well.

Add the mixture to two 4oz dropper bottles, cap closed, label, and store in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight.

To Use:

For a relaxing bath, add a few dropperfuls to running bath water and soak as long as desired.

If you shower at night, apply a few dropperfuls of blissful body oil to your whole body and use it as your moisturizer. You’ll go to bed in bliss!

***NOTE

This blend contains lemon essential oil which is known to be photosensitive (learn more here). Do not apply it to skin that will be exposed to direct sunlight within a 12-hour period.
